The Western Loire is great for family holidays; whether young or old there is plenty for everyone to enjoy. Visit Troglo (underground homes) or the zoo, gardens, get "on your bike", "saddle up", or simply stroll along the paths and trails of the Loire.

We first came to the Loire Valley in Autumn 1997. We had made arrangements to meet a property company, who kindly arranged our accommodation which was a small hotel just below the Chateau in Saumur and overlooking the Loire river.
